Residents in Forest Gate are set to benefit from a safer and more peaceful neighbourhood after officers from the Forest Gate Safer Neighbourhoods Team successfully secured a full Closure Order for a property on Station Road, E7. On Thursday 1 October 2026, officers attended court and obtained a three-month Closure Order for the address following ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour linked to the property. The order prohibits access to the premises by anyone other than the landlord, authorised contractors, utility providers and emergency services. The action was taken after evidence demonstrated that persistent anti-social behaviour was emanating from the address, causing concern and disruption to local residents and the wider community. The successful application reflects the Safer Neighbourhoods Team's commitment to listening to community concerns and using available powers to tackle issues that negatively impact residents' quality of life. Closure Orders are an important tool in addressing properties associated with crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour, helping to protect local communities and restore confidence among those affected. This positive outcome is the result of partnership working and continued efforts to address long-standing concerns, ensuring that those living and working in the area can feel safer in their neighbourhood. Forest Gate Safer Neighbourhoods officers will continue to monitor the location throughout the duration of the order and work with partners to prevent further issues from occurring. | ||
